Mr. Spellman’s current practice is focused on advising and defending employers in labor and employment law matters and various commercial disputes.

Mr. Spellman takes great pride in assisting his clients resolve complex matters and to meet their business objectives.

Prior to joining Williams, Bax & Saltzman, P.C., Mr. Spellman’s practice focused on assisting employers navigate applicable wage and hour law requirements, defending against claims of misappropriation of trade secrets, and analyzing claims of withdrawal liability under the Multiemployer Pension Plan Amendments Act of 1980.  Mr. Spellman also defended numerous insurance carriers against claims of negligence related to construction, premises liability, and transportation matters.  Additionally, Mr. Spellman has also assisted several businesses and individuals in breach of contract disputes within a wide variety of industries.

Mr. Spellman is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and is admitted to practice in federal court in the Northern District Court of Illinois.  He is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago (B.A. 2009) and of DePaul University College of Law (J.D. 2017).  During law school, he served as the Executive Editor of the DePaul University College of Law’s Business and Commercial Law Journal.  Mr. Spellman is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
