Sidney M. Levine is of counsel to the firm. Sidney's principal areas of practice are estate planning, probate and corporate law.

Sidney has over 30 years of experience in the estate planning and probate areas. Prior to joining the firm, he chaired the Trusts and Estates Department at a large Chicago law firm. Sidney's clients include owners of successful closely-held businesses, executives of publicly traded companies, professionals, retirees and other high net-worth individuals.

He is knowledgeable in all facets of estate planning, having worked extensively with different types of trusts, family partnerships, limited liability companies, private foundations, annuities, and the like to minimize estate, gift, income and generation skipping taxes and to protect assets from potential creditors. Sidney also practices in the probate and trust administration areas. In addition, Sidney who is a CPA and has a Master’s degree in tax law, has significant experience in corporate and business law, and represents clients in the formation, operation, acquisition and sale of businesses, where he is able to utilize his accounting and tax background to focus on tax planning opportunities.

Sidney has spoken frequently to professional organizations, accountants, insurance agents and other groups on such estate planning and corporate topics as: Income Taxation of Trusts and Estates; Advanced Planning with Life Insurance; Structuring Shareholder Agreements to Maximize Tax Savings; Use of Premarital Agreements in Conjunction with Trusts, Domestic Asset Protection Trusts, Estate Planning for the Professional, and Sophisticated Estate Planning Techniques.

Sidney's professional accomplishments have been recognized by Martindale Hubbell, which has awarded him an "AV" rating. Sidney has regularly been designated an Illinois Super Lawyer in Chicago Magazine, an honor given to the top 5% of attorneys in the state.
